How scoring works

Account and start time

Only perpetual futures on subaccount 0 count. Your start time is the first observed moment after registration and the competition start when your wallet is whitelisted and has no open positions. Activity before your start does not count.

We track your Arcus perpetuals account on subaccount 0, not the token balance in your connected wallet. Perps equity is Arcus account equity minus the value of spot holdings, including unrealized profit or loss on perpetual positions. Fees and funding payments are reflected in equity.

Sending tokens to your wallet does not affect scoring unless the funds enter your Arcus account. Deposits into the Arcus account are capital, not trading profit, and can change the ROI denominator. Spot price changes are excluded from perps PnL; moving funds between spot holdings and the perps balance is adjusted as a capital transfer.

Community Open: ROI

B
Measured account equity when your clock starts
D
Total deposits after your start
W
Total withdrawals after your start
E
Closing equity from the final account snapshot
Profit = E − B − D + W
ROI = Profit ÷ max(B + D, $50) × 100%

Deposits and withdrawals do not create trading profit. Every deposit increases the ROI divisor; withdrawals never reduce it. The divisor has a $50 floor.

Example

Start with $10,000, make $1,000, withdraw $9,500, deposit $1,000 and finish with $2,500.

Profit = $2,500 − $10,000 − $1,000 + $9,500 = $1,000
ROI = $1,000 ÷ $11,000 × 100% = 9.1%

Community Open: taker volume

Taker volume is the USD notional of perpetual fills executed as a taker after your start and through the competition deadline. Liquidation fills count as taker volume. Maker volume does not count toward this leaderboard or the prize eligibility floor.

Community Open: prize eligibility

Committed capital = B + D − W

Prizes require at least $500 in taker volume and $50 in committed capital. Trading losses do not reduce committed capital. Once a wallet has qualified on capital, a withdrawal that takes it below the floor makes it ineligible for the rest of the competition, even if it deposits again.

Eligible wallets rank first on both community leaderboards. Other wallets appear below the “Not currently eligible” divider and receive no prizes. One eligible community wallet may win on both leaderboards.

Creator Cup: ROI

The first-place creator receives $10,000. Creators are ranked by ROI using their measured starting equity, even if it differs from the intended $1,000 funding.

Profit = E − B − D
ROI = Profit ÷ (B + D) × 100%

Withdrawals are not added back to Creator Cup profit. Any real USDG withdrawal from the creator’s start until is grounds for disqualification after admin review. Spot buys and unexplained balance debits do not count as withdrawals for this rule.

Tiebreaks

  • ROI: higher taker volume, then earlier registration.
  • Taker volume: higher ROI, then earlier registration.

Community Open uses wallet address as the final deterministic tiebreak. Creator Cup ranks by ROI, then taker volume, then registration time.

Open positions and final results

You do not need to close your positions. Unrealized profit or loss on open positions is included in account equity using Arcus’s reported mark prices. Closing equity comes from the final account snapshot, which may be collected after the competition deadline. Final results are reviewed by Arcus.

For platform details, see the official Arcus documentation, including fees and mark prices.

  • One wallet per person in each competition. A creator may enter Community Open with a separate wallet and use the same verified X account for both entries. A single wallet cannot enter both competitions.

  • Prizes are paid by Arcus after the results review. Arcus pays winning registered wallets. No sign-in or claim is required. Prizes cannot be assigned to third parties.

FAQ

Do I need to connect a wallet or sign anything?
Yes. Registering means signing one message with your wallet: no transaction, no fees, no permissions. No claim is required to receive prizes.
What if I have open positions when I register?
Your entry stays pending until we observe no open positions after registration and after the competition starts. Resting orders are allowed.
Do I need a referral code or previous trading activity?
No. Any whitelisted Arcus wallet can enter, with or without a referral code or previous trading activity.
Can I win on both Community Open leaderboards?
Yes. An eligible community wallet can win prizes for both taker volume and ROI.
Why did a deposit lower my ROI?
Every deposit increases the capital used to calculate ROI. The same profit divided by a larger amount of capital produces a smaller return. Withdrawals never reduce that divisor.
Does withdrawing make me ineligible?
In Community Open, a withdrawal that takes committed capital below $50 makes the wallet ineligible for the rest of the competition, even if you deposit again. Trading losses do not reduce committed capital. Withdrawing profit still counts as a withdrawal. Creator Cup has a separate withdrawal lock.
Do I need to close my positions at the end?
You do not need to close your positions. Unrealized profit or loss on open positions is included in account equity using Arcus’s reported mark prices. Closing equity comes from the final account snapshot. Final results are reviewed by Arcus.
Does trading after the end count?
Fills after the competition deadline are excluded from competition volume. Closing equity is taken from the final recorded account snapshot, which may be collected after the deadline. Arcus reviews final results.
Can I enter both competitions?
You may enter Creator Cup and Community Open with separate wallets. The same verified X account may be used for both entries. Only subaccount 0 counts.
How and when are prizes paid?
Arcus pays prizes to the registered wallet. Prizes are paid by Arcus after the results review. No sign-in or claim is required. Prizes cannot be assigned to third parties.
